Ice Horse XC® System
Beating the heat and its effects on the XC horse was the idea behind the development of the Ice Horse XC System! This cooling unit was developed to cool the performance horse more quickly and efficiently with several key features.
The XC:
- Positions consistent water flow to critical areas of the body such as the heart, chest and hindquarters
- Facilitates heated water scraping off the horse's body quickly and evenly
- Cools the the skin so it “waxes” sooner than with sponge and water pail treatments
- Incorporates an efficient pump that regulates flow volume and water pressure
- Can be operated anywhere, from the vet box to the stable. No power outlet required!
The XC includes:
The Ice Horse XC System is packaged with a submersible 12-volt pump. Also included are sufficient hoses, "Y" adapters and our custom water flow scrapers to permit two people to efficiently and independently spray the horse on both sides at once with a uniform, chilled water supply all over the horse's body. The pump is connected to the system with provided clamps and the "on" or "off" function is controlled with an included battery switch. You need only purchase a rechargeable 12V deep cycle marine battery or 12V automobile battery.
